It is true to say that a calorie controlled diet is not necessarily a healthy one just as eating everything available isn't either! Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad but they also ate food that should be thrown away because it is out of its safe selling period. You can't help it, your favorite desert is in front of you in the kitchen and you just must have it.

That may have been rather vivid but I would never encourage people to consume anything and everything. Perhaps it's time you started thinking about looking after yourself with some health supplements. These supplements often give you far more than you realize short term and long term. I've had people tell me they don't like using them and then in the same breath tell me that they have never tried them to start with.
You should always try a thing before you blurt out that you can't stand it; you aren't being asked to eat a slimy frog now are you? You see many health supplements come in wonderful flavors such as vanilla and chocolate. Personally, I take two types of supplements and one of those is a multivitamin that I've been taking for so many years I have lost count. I think every human being should consume a daily vitamin, it's very simply to do and it only takes a split second because you can take one with your meal each day.
Another good health supplement I take is a shake called whey protein which I simply love. Although I like the taste it also has the added benefit of containing a large amount of protein. It's also easy and very convenient to drink, in the morning and at lunch time. The other great thing is it will add about 30 grams of protein to your muscles which should help with your new found health care regime.
You often hear people saying you can't have good without bad but that's not true with today's health supplements because they have removed everything that's bad for you. All the things that are bad for you in excess have been kept out, things like: salt, sugar , saturated fat and cholesterol. So what's next?
