One of the most sensible realistic diet and exercise plans I have ever came across is one of the New York Times bestsellers ( The Abs Diet, by David Zinczenko). It is the most sound approach to eating a healthy diet and losing weight I have ever read and I have read a ton of diet books.

 

Now the other thirty percent of weight loss can be accounted for with exercise and nutrition supplements (we all can use an extra boost sometimes). It is extremely important to get some daily exercise not only for losing weight or maintaining weight loss but to keep us healthy as well. You do not have to go to a gym to get good quality exercise. One of the easiest ways to do it is do a little more each day, park farther away the next time you go somewhere, take your dog for a walk, go to the beach swimming more often, play a game outside with your kids, just get moving! Make all your meals and use fresh ingredients (better yet plant a garden) the energy it takes to make your own meals versus buying them will be well spent. There are tons of little ways to get some good quality exercise in everyday life and that is the point , everyday find a way to move a little more.

4 Tips To Improve Your Sex Appeal!

Also, you need to rejuvenate your hair - just like kids have super-shiny hair, so can you. Kids have super-shiny hair because they produce maximum amounts of healthy oils and proteins that keep the hair lustrous. What can you do? Find a product with nut oil called argan. Argan is so high in fatty acids and vitamin E that just rubbing on a tiny drop immediately makes the hair shiny and strong. Unlike silicone shine serums, argon oil actually works into the hair and hydrates it instead of just smearing a coating. There are several products available at your cosmetic counter, just be sure the ingredients list pure argan oil.

One of the items most commonly mentioned in men's polls that reduces sex appeal is dirty or stained fingernails. Did you know wearing dark nail polish colors, while fun, can actually permanently stain your nails because of the heavy pigments they contain. This happens even if you're using a protective base coating. To clean your nails and keep them sexy, dab a cotton pad in lemon juice and rub it directly and firmly on the stain to actually remove it and leave your nails youthful and sexy.

Next, one of the results of poor skin care, over time, is the creation of large pores that are directly the result of oils clotting and opening pores. To shrink these unsightly large pores, flush the impurities from them with a low-cost and easy blueberry masque. Here's the recipe: Blend one cup of blueberries (either fresh or frozen) with ฝ cup of sour cream, smooth directly on the face, let it sit for 10 minutes, and rinse off with cool water. Repeat up to 3 times weekly initially for maximum benefit.

The other important area to fix, for maximum sex appeal, is dark circles under the eyes. Here's the trick - first, apply a calming eye gel all around your eyes and then blend a corrective cream directly on dark shadows. Next use a brush and lightly blend a creamy concealer - be sure it's one shade lighter than your foundation. Always start at the inner corner of your eye and go toward the outer lash line. Finally, take a fluffy eye shadow brush and dust fine loose powder over the entire under-eye area and over the lids. An additional benefit is this will help make your concealer last longer.

Got Cold Feet?  

Cold feet can be a symptom of much more serious diseases. Bottom line: If you are not impending marriage or haven't just finished a day of skiing, your cold feet are probably trying to tell you something! Listen to them! Don't ignore cold feet! See your podiatrist today!

And no, I'm not talking about the British TV show or a runaway bride. Are your feet always cold? Is your skin cool, clammy, or extremely dry? Many people experience the symptoms of cold feet on a daily basis, but ignore it thinking that it is a minor complaint
This is a mistake. If your feet are always cold and the symptoms are increasing, you should seek the advice of your podiatrist.

Cold feet can be a symptom of many different disorders including:

1. diabetes

2. hypothyroidism

3. anemia

4. peripheral neuropathy

5. coronary artery disease/aortic dissection

6. peripheral arterial disease

7. raynaud's phenomenon

8. side effect of heart medications for blood pressure and arrythmias

9. early frostbite

10. restless legs syndrome

11. tarsal tunnel syndrome

12. significant stress

None of these disorders are minor and cold feet can be one of the earliest symptoms.

A closer look at the symptom of cold feet by your podiatrist may include:

1. non-invasive arterial examination

2. neuropathy screening

3. Blood work including a rheumatoid panel, thyroid levels, and blood counts

More advances screenings are sometime warranted and can include:

1. an arteriogram

2. nerve conduction velocities

3. EKG or echocardiogram

The most common reason people have cold feet is poor circulation. This is usually described as peripheral arterial disease or hardening of the arteries. Peripheral arterial disease (PAD) is narrowing or blockage of arteries that results in poor blood flow to your feet. Clogged arteries in the legs and feet increase your risk for having a heart attack or stroke. Plaque buildup in the legs does not always cause significant symptoms, so many people can have severe circulation problems and not know it. People who do experience symptoms, such as cold feet, pain or cramping in the legs, often do not tell their doctos, because they believe they are a natural part of aging or due to another cause.

One in every 20 Americans over the age of 50 has arterial disease and it is estimated that over 8 million are undiagnosed. Early detection of circulation problems has been shown to save limbs and lives, so if you have cold feet or any of the risk factors you should undergo screening by your podiatrist yearly or more often if symptoms occur.

Your podiatrist should be able to address your cold feet and send you down the path to warmer days or at least to understanding why you have cold feet.

If all the screening exams are normal, you may just have genetically colder feet than the average. Wear socks to bed! Or you may be experiencing stress. Cold clammy skin can be explained by the release of the hormones, epinephrine and norepinephrine, and is a sympathetic response to stress. Your body is telling you to calm down!

Bottom line: If you are not impending marriage or haven't just finished a day of skiing , your cold feet are probably trying to tell you something! Listen to them!
