The Elixir of Youth: Q10 Coenzyme

The Q10 coenzyme is efficient against the free radicals and may protect against the unwanted effects of the ultraviolet rays, according to clinical studies.

The Q10 coenzyme was discovered in 1957 and it`s a substance with the same properties as a vitamin that plays two major roles in the body: produces energy and is a strong antioxidant.

This coenzyme is also capable to reduce the size of the tumors, minimize the effects of strokes and cardiovascular diseas
s. If it is applied on the skin, it fills the pores, protects it from oxidation, and it may prevent the wrinkle apparition.

Other significant benefits of the Q10 coenzyme includes the improvement of the immune system activity, improve the cardiac conditions, enhances metabolism, positively influences fertility in case of men, and may reduce the arterial blood pressure.

Small amounts of Q10 coenzyme may be found in fish, beef, organs, spinach, eggs, broccoli, and peanuts. However, through cooking or high temperature exposure, the antioxidant properties of the Q10 coenzyme disappear. Vegetarians may benefit from the Q10 coenzyme benefic effects through supplements.

Daily stress, intense sun exposure, toxins, cigarette smoke, and other environment factors may lead to free radicals production. High amounts of free radicals may cause a series of biochemical reactions that destroy cells, proteins, and DNA.

As the body gets older , the amount of Q10 coenzyme decreases. Studies showed that this substance may reduce by eighty percent the normal aging speed of the body.

Food and Exams

There is a strong connection between the mental acuity and the food`s quality, especially during periods of stress and exams. A healthy diet and plenty of rest are the key factors that influence the energy levels necessary for the learning process.

People get more nervous when they sleep only three hours per night and foods high in sugar, salt, or fats are their main energy source. The body needs time to assimilate the nutrients and that is why a rich breakfast followed by heal
hy meals may sustain stress.

Nutritionists recommend rice, whole grains, sweet season fruits, pasta, or rice. These foods contain an aminoacid that synthesizes serotonin, are great sources of energy, and have a calming effect in the same time.

A diet based on rice is indicated because it is easy to digest and slowly gives energy. Plus, it offers the brain the necessary amount of glucose for its cognitive performance. A dinner with positive effects before an exam should include green boiled vegetables, chicken or turkey meat, white fish, and fresh cheese. Salads, red radishes, onion, or garlic also have calming effects.

Desserts and sweets should be replaced with a fresh fruit. During exams, males need almost 2,600 calories per day, while females need 2200 calories per day , according to specialists. A cup of tea or low-fat hot milk before nighttime may also reduce the stress and make the sleep deeper.

Tips About Health Care Supplements

It is true to say that a calorie controlled diet is not necessarily a healthy one just as eating everything available isn't either! Perhaps this wouldn't be so bad but they also ate food that should be thrown away because it is out of its safe selling period. You can't help it, your favorite desert is in front of you in the kitchen and you just must have it.

Some people continually count the calories of everything they eat while others, the majority, seem to consume whatever they pl
ase. The hungry horse type or person will even eat the out-of-date food from the refrigerator without batting an eyelid! The triple chocolate gateau is sitting there on the kitchen table and you just can't resist. Lots of people do this so you are not on your own but they don't even consider for a moment how a health supplement will help them.

That may have been rather vivid but I would never encourage people to consume anything and everything. Perhaps it's time you started thinking about looking after yourself with some health supplements. These supplements often give you far more than you realize short term and long term. I've had people tell me they don't like using them and then in the same breath tell me that they have never tried them to start with.

You should always try a thing before you blurt out that you can't stand it; you aren't being asked to eat a slimy frog now are you? You see many health supplements come in wonderful flavors such as vanilla and chocolate. Personally, I take two types of supplements and one of those is a multivitamin that I've been taking for so many years I have lost count. I think every human being should consume a daily vitamin, it's very simply to do and it only takes a split second because you can take one with your meal each day.

Another good health supplement I take is a shake called whey protein which I simply love. Although I like the taste it also has the added benefit of containing a large amount of protein. It's also easy and very convenient to drink, in the morning and at lunch time. The other great thing is it will add about 30 grams of protein to your muscles which should help with your new found health care regime.

You often hear people saying you can't have good without bad but that's not true with today's health supplements because they have removed everything that's bad for you. All the things that are bad for you in excess have been kept out, things like: salt, sugar , saturated fat and cholesterol. So what's next?

Levels of the Mind and How Hypnosis & Hypnotherapy Work

In this easy to read article, a leading British hypno-psychotherapist explains the three basic levels of the mind and how hypnosis and hypnotherapy can work with you to heal, re-balance and let go of negative feelings and blocks.

As a practising hypnotherapist, it often feels as if I have two seperate clients in my therapy chair at the same time

The two certainly are related and they seem to know quite a bit about each other. They appear to have passed through some remarkably similar experiences.

But they simpl
don't seem to communicate well with each other.

One person is entirely rational and logical; they analyze and compare, measure and debate. When I speak with these people I make sure I use the language of logic.

The other person in the chair is quite different. They care nothing for logic. They make absolutely no demand that things be rational. They feel and they function on an emotional, rather than a cerebral level. I make quite certain that I use the language of imagination when I speak with these people.

I don't really have two separate people in my therapy chair, of course, but it certainly can feel as if I do.

That first person, analytical and logical, is simply the conscious mind, while the other feeling person is the subconscious mind. Both are useful, indeed essential parts of the self, yet their nature is quite different. And often they can be at odds with each other.

To better understand why this is, it's necessary to understand something of the way in which our minds function.

You see, the conscious mind is that part of us that reasons. It is basically who we think we are. It is the repository of will power and conscious decision making.

The subconscious mind, on the other hand, is that part of us that experiences emotions. It is basically who we feel we are. It is the repository of our habits and our beliefs.

We also have a third part, and that is the unconscious mind. This is the part of us that is responsible for the smooth running of all those processes that we simply take for granted - our breathing and heart beat, the regulation of our body temperature, the functioning of our autonomic nervous system.

It's what keeps things going when we sleep and when we are awake, without our ever really having to think about it or give it instructions.

When people come to visit me in my role as a therapist, it's usually because they have been having trouble with the way they have been feeling.

They have usually done everything they could think of to feel better. They have tried to deny the problem, use will-power in an attempt to make it go away. They have tried to think it away; to conquer it with logic, telling themselves to 'stop being silly'. Yet nothing has worked.

This never comes as a surprise to me. In any battle between feelings and logic, the feelings will almost always win. We may know full well that something is 'silly', but knowing this and letting that silly thing go are entirely different things.

And this is because the real power of the human mind lies not so much in the conscious logical part, but in the subconscious feeling part.

Usually the subconscious mind is working in a certain way because of an experience or series of experiences that happened in the past.

The actual experience itself is in fact far less important than what the mind did with that experience; how it was processed and perceived - or misperceived.

Based on past perception - often the perception of the child - a belief was born and this belief became firmly implanted in the subconscious mind, working as a piece of software might work in some powerful bio-computer.

And if that perception was faulty, then it produced a belief that grew stronger and stronger, until it began generating and driving uncomfortable feelings such as fear, anxiety, apprehension, worry, depression and low self-esteem.

The difficulty is that no matter how hard we try, no amount of will power is able to diffuse and get rid of it.

The good news is that with hypnosis and hypno psychotherapy, we can reach into the subconscious part of the mind, talking to it in its own language. Because the subconscious mind forgets nothing, we can uncover the source of the difficult feelings - the misperception and the faulty belief - and we can realign it and re-educate it, thereby neutralising its power to disturb.

Moreover, because hypnosis works hand in glove with the autonomous nervous system, we can even help it to work optimally, speeding up healing, bolstering the immune system, and even managing pain.

If you sometimes feel as if there are two parts of you, and that they are at odds with each other then in many ways you are right. Knowing this , you are in an excellent position to help both parts function in the very best of ways.

Through expertly delivered hypnosis and hypnotherapy - or through effective self-hypnosis - you can once more feel whole and at one with yourself and your world.

Suffering from Eczema and Medications Don\'t Help?

There are a number of ways you can lessen the discomfort of Eczema, simply by avoiding the things that irritate it in the first place.

Treating eczema without medication can be a simple matter of making changes in your daily routine. You must become more conscientious about your skin to the point that it is a regular habit to take care of it. Doing so will prevent eczema from becoming out of control. Listed below are some examples of what you must do in order to care for your skin properly. At first this routine will seem like
a chore; however, once you begin putting it into practice, it will become second nature to you.

1) Moisturize! Moisturize! Moisturize! Begin every morning moisturizing with an unscented heavy duty moisturizer. CeraVe moisturizing cream is an excellent option, and it is available in both a lotion and a cream. The cream, however, is thicker and provides a nice barrier to the elements you expose your skin to. This is usually available at certain pharmacies and can always be Googled online to find a good supplier.

2) Did I mention moisturize? Continue the application of moisturizer as time allows throughout the day; especially when you wash your hands a lot, or if you begin itching. Additionally, you should remember that using only cool or lukewarm water to bathe with is best, as hot water will worsen your dryness and causes the eczema to flare up. Patting your skin dry and applying a very thick coat of lotion on your entire body; paying close attention to the areas which are most troublesome for you.

3) Let your skin breathe. Wear loose fitting clothing. You want to prevent your clothing from rubbing too tightly against your skin, as this will cause further irritation and discomfort. In addition, choose to wear cotton as much as possible, especially for undergarments. Cotton will absorb any perspiration against your skin; thus, reducing the amount of irritation your skin is exposed to. If you have no choice of clothing due to your work industry, change out of those items as soon as possible when you return home. For the ladies, panty hose can be extremely uncomfortable. Wear roomy slacks and knee-highs instead.

Have a good look at the kinds of soaps you use. The best thing is to select unscented products that are made especially for your sensitive skin. This includes products like the hand soap you use and the shower gel you bathe with. Look for natural ingredients and avoid any alcohol based products. Alcohol does have a drying effect.

5) Moisturize again before bed , and lay it on thick!

Beat Your Addiction through these Key Tactics

Specific strategies for addicts and alcoholics in how to overcome their addiction. Includes details that illustrate how to do this that differ from traditional recovery programs.

What is the best way to beat your addiction? There are certain steps you can take that will allow you to do so, but where do you begin? It doesn't matter what you are addicted to, the important thing is that you start taking action if you want to move towards changing yourself.

That is the first main point that you must understand: recovery
s all about action. You can sit and read books or web pages about it all day long, but until you start taking action and doing some stuff in order to work towards a new life in recovery, you will not get the results you want. This is because your new life in recovery must be created through action. Deliberate, purposeful action.

There are a couple of other key points you will need to implement in order to achieve lasting recovery. What is critical is that you understand which of these strategies should be used in early recovery, versus which strategies are more appropriate for long term sobriety.

The first strategy you will need in recovery is that of networking with others. Now this is particularly important for early recovery because of two different reasons. The first reason we need peer support in early recovery is for the added support and identification that we get from interacting with others. We need to know that we are not alone in how we feel and reaching out to other addicts in recovery is critical for this.

The second reason we need the peer support is for learning. We have to relearn how to live a sober life. This is the first major goal of your early recovery. Continuous learning is the only thing that will sustain your sobriety and if you don't keep learning then eventually you'll end up relapsing. And how can we learn in recovery? Not from reading recovery literature but instead from our friends in recovery and their stories.

The next tactic for recovery is about self esteem and caring about yourself. Now this might sound obvious but the typical addict or alcoholic has to relearn how to take care of themselves. We have typically abused ourselves and our bodies for so long that leaning towards good health seems unnatural.

Not only do we need to care for ourselves, but we need to do it in many different ways and on many different levels. So we are talking about going above and beyond mere physical health and abstinence from drugs and alcohol. We want to consider changes in our diet, getting more exercise, getting good sleep, watching our emotional health and stability, and getting plenty of rest and relaxation. And so on. Our view of health in recovery needs to be a holistic one. That means we take care of ourselves in every area of our life.

Finally, we want to employ the strategy of personal growth. Or rather, we are going to have to push ourselves to pursue personal growth. Again, the question arises: how should we grow as a person? And the answer is again: holistically.

We want to explore new avenues of growth and keep on learning in recovery. This is the secret to staying clean for the long haul and avoiding inaction. When we get complacent in our recovery we run the risk of relapse. So we must push ourselves beyond laziness and inaction so that we can avoid this outcome.

If you consider these 3 strategies then you will see that they can work together to form a complete strategy for recovery. Focus on the networking and learning in early recovery , then shift over to holistic growth and long term health habits as you enter long term recovery. This is the most solid strategy for long term success. Good luck!

Why to Get Dental Implants

Have you lost a tooth and wondering how a dental implant will help you. A dental implant is also called a tooth implant and definitely has a lot of advantages.

A dental implant is also called a tooth implant and definitely has a lot of advantages.  It is an artificial tooth root and it is fixed into the jaw bone through a small surgical procedure. Its main function is to form a base in order to hold a replacement tooth or a denture. Most of the time the artificial root is just titanium screw. When it is
surgically anchored in the bone, it fuses biologically with the living bone and helps to build up a foundation on which the bridge or crown can be attached.

A dental implant is extremely advantageous because this is the only way that a replacement tooth can be fixed securely into the jawbone. People with dental implants do not require removable dentures at all, and the dental implant helps to build up a sort of denture self-confidence due to the stability that it provides. The patient automatically experiences an improvement in speech, improvement in his chewing function and has a better appearance overall.

With a complete set of teeth, speech improvement occurs immediately. Dental implants look and feel just like real teeth. Now you can show your teeth with a healthy smile and all this makes you feel more confident and it raises your self-esteem. Since the chewing function improves, digestion improves as well. Dental implants are a permanent feature, and cannot be taken out and cleaned. Therefore you should take good care of them, just as you take care of all your teeth. No extra care is needed, and you may not be able to distinguish later between your teeth and the implants.

If your teeth require construction of a bridge, the adjacent teeth are normally a form of support for it. But if you have a dental implant, the adjacent teeth are spared the involvement and the result is a preservation of valuable tooth tissue.

Undoubtedly your overall oral health will improve with dental implants. A missing tooth for a long time can cause a host of problems like gum disease, shifting of teeth and sometimes even jaw disorders. A dental implant is better than a denture, not only because it remains as a strong foundation for a lifetime, but also because there are no hassles regarding cleaning of the dentures where several pastes and glues are used to keep the denture in place.

The level of comfort for the patient is of utmost importance. If a patient wears dentures, it is possible that comfort may be lacking. On the other hand a dental implant also replaces the missing tooth , but does not affect the surrounding teeth and looks just like the original one.
